D Randomness is an advanced plugin developed in Patcher that introduces organic variations to your drum sequences. Its core engine is based on the random manipulation of key sound elements, allowing each hit on a hi-hat or snare drum to be slightly different from the previous one, emulating the performance of a real musician.

 

Modulation Architecture

The plugin lets you control the amount of "chaos" applied to the attack, volume, sustain, and panning. Thanks to its velocity panel, you can decide whether these changes occur at every step, every bar, or freely, allowing you to create everything from subtle volume variations to extreme rhythmic panning effects that envelop the mix.

 

Band Processing and Linear Phase

One of its most powerful features is the Split Module. With it, you can set a crossover point so that processing doesn't affect the low frequencies. This is vital for maintaining the impact and solidity of the kick drum while humanizing the rest of the kit. It also includes a Linear Phase mode to avoid phase issues when working with signals that require surgical precision.

 

Sound and Texture Design
